YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

When do we collect your personal information?

 

We and our Venue Partners would really like to send you information on Special offers and discounts but we will only do so when you tell us that you are happy to receive this information. You can let us know that you would like to receive this information during the login process.

 

We will also use your personal information when you use the Wi-Fi service. This is only so that we can get you online faster but we won’t use your personal information for marketing purposes unless you tell us this is OK.

 

All of the information you give to us is confidential. We will only use your information in the way we tell you in this policy.

 

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

You may provide us with your: name, address, phone number, gender, date of birth; or, when corresponding with us by phone or email. We may also collect information indirectly from you when you use our Wi-Fi including your location information, your IP address, your devices MAC address.

 

We use the personal information you give to us in a number of different ways:

•           Customising the login experience

•           We may speed up the login experience by showing you a welcome back message which is customised to your device.

•           We may customise the login branding and imaging based on your demographic profile, which may make the process more enjoyable and relevant.

•           We may store and process the information you provide for a period of time to ensure that any allegation of fraudulent use of identity can be properly investigated in the future.

•           To carry out statistical analysis

 

We use technology to track your mobile or other electronic device. If you have your WiFi capability switched on your mobile or other electronic device whilst you are in the premises or immediately outside the perimeter of the premises, we will be able to use this information to identify your phone or other electronic device’s MAC Address. This information is collected and stored securely by us. We will not use this information to identify any particular user. We use the information collected to help us generate statistics on our users experience within the premises, for analysis purposes and for future marketing initiatives. This information is also used by us to determine how we can improve our services to you. If you do not want us to track your device or use your information in this way, please turn off the WiFi capability on your phone or other electronic device within your settings.

 

To carry out marketing activities and optimise the customer browsing experience

We use a number of methods in our marketing when collecting your personal data. For instance:

•           We may use the information we collect from you to analyse how you use the premises. This may include information on your journey through the venue and how long you spent in different parts of the venue. This allows us in the future to provide a WiFi experience which is relevant to you and ensures that we provide you with marketing materials which are relevant to your needs and tastes;

•           We may use your information to communicate with you directly about the products we sell and the service we provide and may use your information to send you, or to enable our marketing and business partners to send to you, information about products and services that may be of interest to you (such communications will be in accordance with your marketing preferences);

•           We may use the information we collect from you to show you products and services during your browse time which appear relevant from the information we have about you. This can include using the data you provide for statistical purposes and analysing how we can improve the services, products or website for you;

•           We may use an approximate location to ensure the WiFi experience is relevant to the city or country you are using your device in. We will not collect or track your exact location without your consent;

•           We may use the information we collect from you to allow you to set up a personal profile on our website so that you can set up a web account. If you choose, you can also use your account to subscribe to e-mail newsletters from us. If your account has been inactive for a longer period of time, we reserve our right to deactivate your account;

•           We may use the information we collect from you so that you can enjoy WiFi in other premises. This enables you to login online without having to fill in your personal information every time you attached to the WiFi. If your account has been inactive for a long period of time, we reserve our right to deactivate your account;

•           We may use the information we collect from you to contact you about the experience you have had whilst using the WiFi so that we can find out about what we are doing well and what we can improve on;

•           We may use the information we collect from you to respond to any negative experiences you have had when using our service. For instance, you may have asked us questions on our social networking sites and we may reply to you; and

•           We may use the information we collect from you to improve the Service and to ensure that the content is secure, presented in the best manner for you and your computer or mobile device.

 

What personal information do we give to third parties?

Your privacy is important to us and so we will never sell or disclose your personal information to a third party for purposes other than as described in this policy.

•           We may share your information with companies in the same group of companies as us but they will only use your personal information in the same way as we can under this Privacy Policy.

•           We may give your personal information to our service partners for delivering services to you. For instance, for the purposes of marketing, finance, advertising (which may be tailored to your interests or preferences), processing payment, delivery and other services. Note that we won’t use your personal information for marketing purposes unless you tell us this is ok.

WHERE IS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION STORED?

CLEVERNET is under a legal obligation to ensure that all the information we have about our customers is factually correct and kept up to date. If you find that the personal information we have about you is inaccurate or needs updating (for instance, you may have changed your name, address etc.) then please contact us so that we can correct it.
